Adam Levine, MSc
Director of Business Development

Adam Levine is a pioneer of the Canadian biodiesel industry, co-founding and then leading sales, supply and distribution for Canada’s leading biodiesel marketing company. His relationships at the intersection of petroleum companies, utilities, heavy industry and government give him a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities in successfully deploying bioenergy products. His day to day for the last six years encompassed importing/exporting, logistics, commodity markets, quality assurance and operability, market pricing and adoption, planning and budgeting, conversion technologies and biofuel policies at all levels of government. Adam successfully transitioned Canada’s first and largest industrial and government fleets, including transit authorities, municipalities, airports, federal container port operators, commercial carriers, cement companies and industrial marine end users to biodiesel and has worked closely with two Canadian utilities to explore the potential for solid biofuels from agriculture and forestry residues. Adam was a member of the Sustainable Communities Group at the Pembina Institute for Appropriate Development and the Sustainable Development Research Initiative at University of British Columbia's Institute for Resources Environment and Sustainability (IRES) where he earned his M.Sc. researching techno-economics of bio-waste to energy and related markets and policy instruments.
